David B. Templin, MD is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon practicing primarily in New Braunfels, Texas. He is an attending orthopedic surgeon at Christus Santa Rosa New Braunfels Hospital but performs many outpatient surgeries at Christus Santa Rosa’s Physicians Ambulatory Surgery Center as well. Trained in both operative and non-operative management of skeletal and soft tissue disease and injury, Dr. Templin practices general orthopedic surgery, with an emphasis on joint replacement, pediatric and adult trauma, and sports injuries.
After attending undergraduate schooling at Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana, Dr. Templin received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio (a four-year accredited medical school, which has subsequently assumed the name the University of Toledo College of Medicine). He continued on to complete his residency at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio, where he served as chief resident in his final year. Following the five-year residency program, Dr. Templin relocated to New Braunfels, Texas, and has been in practice there since 2006.
Dr. Templin is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and received his board certification through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons in 2009. He is a dedicated husband and father. Dr. Templin is also an avid supporter of music and the arts.
